PixieDrone Launch Event

Pollution Probe is proud to announce the latest addition to the Great Lakes Plastic Cleanup’s technology roster in Canada! The PixieDrone is an innovative, remote-controlled device designed to remove plastic and debris from the surface of the water with a capacity of up to 60 kg per use.

On September 26, 2024, we officially unveiled the drone at the City of Barrie Marina, with Mayor Nuttall of Barrie and MPP Downey, celebrating our collaborative efforts to keep the Great Lakes, including Lake Simcoe, plastic-free. The City of Barrie joins the growing list of communities working together to end plastic pollution as part of the Great Lakes Plastic Cleanup.

Sponsored by The Coca-Cola Company in Canada, the drone will allow us to remove significantly more plastic from the environment and to tackle plastic pollution in even more locations and communities.
