Pollution Probe commends today’s announcement by Ontario’s Minister of Energy, Todd Smith, highlighting the Government’s plan to implement a new electric vehicle charging rate for public charging stations.
“A comprehensive public electric vehicle charging network is essential for accelerating the deployment of electric vehicles in our Province,” states Steve McCauley, Senior Director, Pollution Probe. “A new discounted electricity rate will make public charging more affordable and will put more Ontarians in EVs.”
This initiative can be expected to lower costs for consumers, help build more electric vehicle chargers and help alleviate range anxiety on the part of consumers.
